When Neida Suarez arrived in the United States in 1969 she didn't know the language, she didn't have a job and she didn't know how her and her two small sons would survive while she waited a year for her husband to leave Cuba.
Today Mrs. Suarez knows the language of business, as president and owner of South Florida Concrete and Ready Mix, Inc.
In 1981 Ampudio Suarez founded the concrete company with eight trucks and rented office in a small trailer. Mrs. Suarez handled the paper work. When Ampudio died, the 5'5" tall, 130 pound widow was left to run South Florida Concrete and Ready Mix, Inc. by herself.
